Akron Children's Pediatrics, Alliance

I USED to take my 2 children to this location for all routine and sick visits, but no longer. It was close, convenient, and I had nothing but good to say about all of the physicians and staff. However, once Akron Children's took over, I refuse to go back. They treat their patients like numbers, they treat the parents like necessary evils to be tolerated. There isn't a single child's book, chair, or puzzle in any of the waiting rooms or exam rooms. The walls are institutional beige, the exams rooms are tiny. I recognized none of the clerical staff, and only 1 of the nursing staff. I have called them multiple times and it is difficult to impossible to get anyone on the phone. if you call to ask for a prescription to be called in, no one ever calls you back to acknowledge whether or not it will be called in - you have to call or visit the pharmacy to find out. I wasn't permitted to speak with the physician for advice when I called - they don't have time to take calls from parents. They didn't even ASK the physician if s/he had time. it was clearly against policy.
