I have been to Dr. Cohen for two different problems with my foot within the past year. His treatments have been extremely effective. His staff is friendly and considerate. They also try not to hurt you during procedures if at all possible. I would definitely recommend to anyone!

My appointment with Dr. Cohen was scheduled for 4 o'clock. When I checked in there were no less than 20 people in the waiting room. Keep in mind, also, that there is only one doctor in the facility. Firstly, I was frustrated because they were unable to find my referral. I had it faxed to their office 2 weeks prior, and confirmed that it was there. The receptionist made a phone call to the back area where insurance is processed. The office said that they didn't have it. They sent a tech back to check again. When he returned he told me that it was not there. One final tech went back and returned with the referral...20 minutes later. Throughout this time, all of the techs were yelling to eachother across the lobby about the condition of each of the patients that were currently being taken care of. As a hospital employee myself, I knew that this was absolutely a HIPAA violation. When I was finally called back (one and a half hours later) I was taken into a room with another patient. Our exam chairs were facing each other, and there was no partition in between. She and I both had our symptoms, diagnosis and treatment discussed in front of each other, again, with no regard to HIPAA regulations. I received x-rays from a tech who was CLEARLY not qualified for the job. I am an x-ray tech, myself, and I know that the images he took were not standard x-ray images. He also practiced improper technique when making his exposures. I was given steroid injections, even though I refused them. I first asked if the injection was going to be safe as I am still breastfeeding. He was unsure, so he looked it up on his phone. When he was unable to find a satisfactory answer, he continued to draw up the steroid anyway. The tech in the room at the moment and I both said that it probably wasn't necessary, and that I would try the orthotics and sleeping boots they had given me and that we could re-assess at the next appointment. He proceeded to inject me anyway. As he was preparing for the other foot, I told him that I did not want the injection, and he obliged temporarily, but ultimately injected me anyway. He did not prepare my foot for the injections with any kind of alcohol. He also did not wear gloves for my injections or my examination. I was also later informed that the wait had been so long because, in an attempt to make up fir the holidays that week, Dr. Cohen scheduled 40 patients betweek 2:30 and 6:00 that evening. This clinic is absolutely unprofessional and I would NOT recommend it.

I will not recommend DR. Cohen to anyone. The office is run in total chaos! There are so many patients in the waiting room that there is standing room only, some having to lean on the walls because they are in pain. Dr. Cohen appears very unkept, unprofessional, booking way too many patients at a time. The wait time to be seen is over a two hr. wait, while some patients are looked over and forgotten, having to remind the receptionist that they have been disregarded. DR. Cohen sees other patients in between diagnosing you as a patient and forgets that you are still waiting to be treated by him. He has a special interest group he is treating and gets caught up in their treatment, leaving you hanging in your individual room, watching him running around treating others in a huge room with patients lined up to rec' shots in their foots, like a cattle line. His technique for treating an ingrown toenail is shockingly, to stab your toe with a long shot needle to numb it, by his hauling back and jabbing your toe, completely out of the blue. Then he uses a surgical blade to rip along side the ingrown toe nail by stabbing it into your toe. Your legs and feet are dangling off the patient chair with no support while he is free handedly using his sudden jabbing technique, while running in and out of your room, with the door open, leaving you with no privacy in your shcok and pain. He needs to be reported to the physicians board. I will never return to him for medical care. I don't even think he deserves a star rating, except in the negative!

I absolutely LOVE, LOVE this doctor!! His staff is great too!! There was a long wait, but when it finally came my turn, it was worth it! He showed great concern and tenderness while working on a spur, and a very painful bunion. I def will be back!!
