        American Family Care, also known as AFC, is a health care system that operates more than 20 medical centers throughout Alabama. It provides primary care, occupational and internal medicine, general surgery, nephrology, physical therapy and prescription services. The system also provides diagnosis and treatment services for ear, nose and throat ailments. American Family Care s Nexstep facilities provide physical therapy, fitness and pain management services. The system offers various occupational medicine services that include alcohol testing, drug and vision screenings and X-ray. Its sister company, U-Save Pharmacy, offers on-site pharmacy services at several of its clinics. Established in 1982, American Family Care maintains one of its locations in Pelham, Ala.

        If you have to get a referral good luck. Just go somewhere else. A few of the receptionist can be helpful, but the vast majority of them are not!

        If you can go somewhere else do it.
