Run away from this place! To be called a daycare is ridiculous! I helped my daughter out by picking up my granddaughter (under 1 year old). In the room where the babies were kept I would walk in every day (no one ever ID"d me) and my granddaughter would be stuffed in a swing with a bottle propped up (DANGEROUS!), or in a crib (one crib in the corner of the room that I had seen other children in - UNSANITARY). The last day she was there I walked in and told them she was done and I wanted all her belongings. They reached in a tub and pulled out one of her bottles, that was mixed in with everyone else's (also unsanitary). The bottle she had been drinking out of was another babies bottle!! All the little ones on the floor were crying and grabbing the workers legs who never did talk to them, or pick them up. This place has been shut down before and it needs to be again!! If I was allowed to give a negative rating I sure would! PLEASE DO NOT take your child here...

I see why this daycare has bee...

I see why this daycare has been shut down...A friend took her child there a a year ago and this business was very unproffessional and the owner is rude and arrogant. and seems very uneducated when it comes to the daycare industry. I suggest viewing the media file on the news before taking ur child there if and when they reopen... very disappointed ...not only did this disturb me but honestly it was a daily occurance listening to my friend complain about this woman and her ethics!!!! and after viewing the video on the news a 3 year old kid went missing for 30 minutes and the raymore police department found the kid at a local convenient store ...what parent in their right mind would take their kid there knowing that alone!!!!!

I love this day care

I have a son in the infant/toddler area and love it. I actually came to little folks from another day care in the area. It's cheaper and cleaner than my previous day care and there isn't as much staff turn over. My little boy loves all of the teachers in the infant/toddler rooms and my husband and I are both very pleased. My son was out sick for 3 days and the owner actually called to find out how he was doing and in my opinion that is way above the call of duty. I am very pleased with this wonderful day care. If you're lookiing for a compasionate bunch of teachers than you should give them a try.

it could be better if ....

your employese need to be more friendly not only to the children but to the parents i cant count how many times i have been given an attitude and eyes rolled at me from ms betty. i have also heard her frequnetly yelling at the children and i mean come on now they are only one they dont know any better. also it seems like what i ask and they doare two different things. every needs to be on the same page and i cant stand it when no one calls me to let me know my son has a fever or is sick or what not. i know some parents dot care but i do and i want to be informed of things like that before i pick him up at night. i can say i do appreciate you checking ids before pick up and how very clean and organied you are. I believe that for the price you do charge you shld be a little better b/c creative worl is like the best and they are only 20.00 more than u thats why im putting my son in there b/c if im paying high prices i want the best care.

Wonderful place to be

After reading this review I'm flabbergasted because I know better. I have 2 children that have been going there for about 1 1/2 years. Well, my oldest is now 3 so she started when she was 1 1/2 years old and everyone that I have encountered is wonderful. They have several lady's in the infant-toddler area that are grandma's themselves. My son is now 6 months old has been there since birth and is well taken care of. I'm pretty sure after reading these reviews of who has written them because this other little boy's (Seth Marshall) mom and grandma where always complaining about something. In fact one morning when the dad brought in the little boy he apologized for the way his wife had carried on the evening before. This was also the family that wanted the staff to administer a cough and cold medication that stated "due to give to children under the age of 6" to an infant that was 3-4 months old....The owner refused until a doctors note was given stating that it was ok. There are some people that just like to compain and my guess is that this family was one of them. I went back to work after my son was born with lots of hesitation and this day care made it easier and easier because they were always there for me any time I had questions or concerns. If I had to rate them I'd give them a 10 out of 10 for being knowledgeable and caring. My little girl is now 3 and loves her teacher in fact there's been a few evenings that she didn't want to leave the day care...that says a lot in my book!

CD

My grandchild was well cared for a few months at Little Folks Daycare by 2 marvelous gals, Carol and April. When one of the gals was not scheduled or able to work full-time and another gal was scheduled, the quality of care drastically dropped, always on the day or days this particular gal was a caregiver in the babies room. This was brought to the attention of the owner and rather than investigate the issue(s), she defended the caregiver. It's doesn't take rocket science to know when you bring your grand child home with a "5 lb" (a little exagerated - but very very heavy and wet) diaper or a bright red bottom, that diapers were not changed according to their set schedule. Taking into consideration the health of a child that is not sick, did not have diareha....there's no reason for a child to set in a dirty diaper long enough to give the skin time to develop a reaction to a dirty diaper. If the owner had said she would look into it, apoligize and fix it, everything would have been fine but it was more like World War 3. It's a shame, two of the gals were phenomenal, but without the support of the owner, my kids felt it not a good environment for their baby and nor do I. This review is only for the babies room - 1 year and under, not a reflection on any other area of this daycare.

Bad Experience

My friend had a really bad experience with this daycare center. You do not want to put your trust in this place. I say this because I have a child of my own and after what I heard about this place I would never let them care for my child.

Scary!!! Owner won't listen to Parents

If you have a concern for your own child, this is not the place to be. Call the Owner and she will be defensive for her employees and won't even let up for breath to listen to what the parents have to say.
