Its battery and power systems division, Electric Fuel, established in 1996, has its facilities in Auburn, Ala. It specializes in the design and manufacture of primary and rechargeable batteries, related electronic circuits and associated chargers, for military applications. The company develops batteries for unmanned aerial vehicles and microair vehicles, and works with government agencies, the military, and large original equipment manufacturers. It produces zero-emission zinc-air electric buses in fleets of transit systems and school districts, providing zero-emission transportation at reasonable costs. Arotech s battery and power systems division has state-of-the-art expertise in electrochemistry, electronics, software and battery design.
