Don't use them! Trust your health to another medical provider and take your business elsewhere! I don't know what the quality of the medical care is, but if the irresponsible office staff is any indication I would be skeptical of it!

I was humiliated, inconvenienced, and left totally dissatisfied by the service I received from the South Atlanta Digestive Diseases Associates office personnel. On the advice of my primary care doctor I was directed to them to have a routine diagnostic colonoscopy. I called the office on Thursday, December 15 to schedule an appointment. I was told at that time by the receptionist that an appointment for the following Monday, December 19 was available. Because I wanted to get the procedure done soon I accepted. I had to have a prescreening visit before the procedure so she scheduled me to have that on Friday, December 16. At that time I also asked her if she could tell me if I would have any out of pocket expenses or would my insurance cover all of the cost. She assured me her office would check and tell me. I trusted them unfortunately. I went to the prescreening and got my instructions on how to prepare for the colonoscopy. This included buying an over the counter laxative and having a prescription filled for a prescription strength laxative too. The office visit and the medicines cost me $50 which would later turn out to be wasted money. After missing two and a half days of work in addition to starving myself for 36 hours to empty my digestive tract I arrived for my procedure. At that time the office staff informed me I owed $350 as my deductible for the colonoscopy. I was floored because I was never told that I would owe a deductible although I was assured by the office that they would tell me before hand. They never did. One of the billing staff called me on my cell phone from another part of the building while I was in the office. She claimed she tried to call me Friday. I asked her that if she did why didn't I receive it and if she did why didn't she leave a message? Her call certainly reached me at this time. I was unable, and unwilling to pay, the $350 deductible which had they told me would be owed I would not have agreed to this routine screening at this time. In addition to giving me misinformation, being dishonest about having phoned me, the receptionist had my name wrong on all my documents inspite of my having spelled it out and corrected her at least twice after she pronounced it incorrectly. The billing staff member also said that their practice is to not schedule procedures on such a short notice in order for them to have time to process all insurance claims. If that's the case why didn't her receptionist inform me of that when she scheduled my appointment for three days after I first called? The office refused to compensate me in anyway for the money I spent needlessly, the time I lost from work and all of the discomfort I under went in preparing for this exam. Then they had the nerve to tell me if I wanted to do the procedure in the future they would wave the office visit fee!

Heck no I will never go back to South Atlanta Digestive Diseases Associates and if I let a friend use them then I am not really a friend.
