Primary Care

Emergency Care
Virtual visits are appropriate for a variety of care needs, including urgent care, routine follow-up visits, chronic disease management, medication management, reviewing test or lab results, and lifestyle coaching. Common illnesses including sinus problems, respiratory infections, allergies, cold and flu symptoms and many other non-emergency illnesses can be treated virtually. Contact your doctor to understand how virtual visits will work best for you.
Immunizations
Medical forms such as school and camp forms are important in ensuring your child’s health and safety in such settings. They are a way to communicate your child’s heath and chronic illnesses to others who are responsible for your child. Completion of medical forms is a task not taken lightly and requires the review of the medical provider. The staff is responsible for copying and processing forms once reviewed. Therefore, we charge a $10 fee for school/camp forms and $2 fee for vaccination records. There is no fee when the forms are presented at the time of your doctor’s visit. Allow 3-5 business days for the processing of forms, so please submit the forms in a timely manner to avoid delay.

Autism
Christa Bay, MS, CPNP, a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Village Pediatrics. Christa received her undergraduate degree from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She received her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Towson University and a Post-Master of Science Degree from University of Maryland at Baltimore. She served as a school nurse and nurse practitioner at a local girls’ school in Baltimore. She also has been a nurse practitioner in the Special Newborn Nursery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Christa is trained in the specialties of developmental disorders such as Autism and is a trained Lactation Consultant. Christa is currently an Education Coordinator of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and is on the Clinical Faculty at Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
All prescription refills for chronic illnesses are completed in 1-3 business days. This includes medications for ADHD, for example. We understand that you are busy, but we ask that you request your child’s refill in advance to avoid delay. Only emergency prescriptions such as asthma medications and Epi-pens, for example, will be done sooner.

Sports Medicine
Dr. Alicia Morgan-Cooper is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is board certified in General Pediatrics. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from The American University in Washington, D.C. and her Medical degree was obtained from Penn State University College of Medicine, Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA. She completed her residency in General Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital at Sinai in Baltimore, MD. She has special interests in Developmental Pediatrics, Sports Medicine, and Preventive Medicine. Dr. Morgan-Cooper is a native Baltimorean. She and her husband Fred, live in Baltimore and they have three sons: Douglas, Matthew, and Andrew.
