Because periodontitis is a lifelong issue, treatments must be performed every 3 or 4 months (possibly for life). However, if it’s treated early with aggressive 3-month treatments and strict dental hygiene practices, some patients can return to regular teeth cleanings every 6 months.

Veneers
A thin porcelain shell that is bonded to the front surface of a tooth, primarily used to improve the appearance of the tooth. Veneers are used to improve color, shape and shade of tooth.
Crowns
Dental crowns are tooth-shaped “caps” that are permanently cemented over the visible part of a tooth. The crown restores the shape, size, strength and color of your original tooth. The crown is cemented into place on your tooth and it covers the visible portion of the tooth. The first appointment replaces the missing tooth structure and a temporary crown is placed while your impressions are sent to a lab for the permanent crown. Two-three weeks later, the patient comes back to cement the permanent crown into place. Material Types for crowns are gold, porcelain, and silver.
Bridges
If you are missing one to two teeth, a porcelain bridge may be an option for you. Bridges are not removable and provide the same shape, color and function of your natural teeth.

Root Canal Treatment

Complete Dentures are needed when a patient is missing an entire arch of teeth. Our Complete Dentures use the most natural teeth while providing ultimate function and appearance. Partials are needed when a patient is missing a one to several teeth. This allows the restoration of chewing force and the aesthetic appeal of real teeth when a patient wants to show off their smile.

Dental Implants
In 2007, Dr. Rabalais and her husband, Brian Plauche, moved to Bossier City and in 2009, became the proud owner of Rabalais Dental Centre. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association and the Northwest Louisiana Dental Association. Dr. Rabalais participates in numerous continuing education classes throughout the year where she has completed extensive training on implant dentistry and other complex dental restorative procedures.
