Overall

I used to love eating here, but the last time I took my extended family there, it was terrible. I don't remember our servers name, but he was tall and above average in size, with dark brown hair. I want to say his name was George, but Im not 100% sure. This was a few weeks ago. It was raining like crazy, but we were sill excited to eat and hang out together. He took 15 minutes to get to the table and ask for a drink order. By that time a 4 top sat next to us and their server was quick to get a drink order and they got their drinks before us. There were 7 in our party, so I expect for our stuff to take a little longer, but I used to be a server and know it doesn't take that long to make 7 drinks (while checking on other tables). We weren't upset at that point after waiting for drinks and ordering. What really got us was the 4 top got their food and finished it before we got ours. When he finally brought our food, I could smell my fajitas burning before they even reached the table. I had to quickly get them off the skillet onto another plate before they got worse. My father in law's steak was severely over done, as well as all the other adult dishes. I think the only good plate was my 4 year olds, but that is because it is hard to overcook a burrito. My thinking (by judging the body language of the other servers) is that he never got the food out of the window when it came up and just let it set under the heat lamps. The other servers kind of laughed and snickered when he was so behind and rolled their eyes like it was expected out of him. It was too busy for us to try and send the food back, so we just ate it, paid, and left. Of course, I only left 50 cents as a tip. I felt bad, having been a server, but I wanted him to think about how terrible his service was. I know he knew it was bad, but didn't care by his attitude and body language. I haven't eaten there since and have switched to The Border on Maple Street. It is so much better and the serve staff is nicer. The manager ( I think, he seemed important) even came out and asked us how our meal was. He also let us know the Sunday special (we ate there Friday).
