Founded in 1926 by Doug Fraser, Inverness Country Club is one of the oldest courses in Michigan. At the time of its founding, the North Lake area was considered a country getaway for folks from the Detroit metropolitan area. Today, we are proud of the fact that our little community remains a nice place to get away from the busy world around us. Our club consists of nine beautiful holes and has only 300 active members. We also maintain a practice green, driving range, clubhouse and tennis court. Tee times and clubhouse rentals are never difficult to obtain. In fact, we only reserve tee times for regularly scheduled events such as our various leagues and between Memorial Day and Labor Day from 7: 00 AM to 10: 30 AM on Saturdays and Sundays. Chances are if you are in the mood for a nice round of golf or for a little on-course practice, the course is available for you and your family! Inverness Country Club in Chelsea, Michigan provides a top-notch private country club on a beautiful landscape. The combination of excellent golf conditions in a casual yet private environment provides a membership value that can't be beat.
