Gynecology Specialists

I was not impressed.



Pros:

-Good location

-Lots of parking

-Got me in very quickly for an exam



Cons:

-Very quick hands off visit with Dr. Long

-Mentioned some pelvic pain during my yearly exam

-Mentioned I am genetically positive for cancer gene and high risk so ins. co. covers ultrasounds and additional screening.

-Told to go ahead

-When billed - billed for two exams same day

-My ultrasound not billed as preventative

-Called and told that because I mentioned ANY pain during my yearly I was not considered well and this bill would not be changed.



I am researching this with the HHS and Va Dept of Health and Human Services as I know I am not supposed to go to my well woman visit and not mention any issues or concerns. A template from the American Academy of Family Physicians shows a space of questions or concerns as do many more and my own insurance guidelines. I wouldn't recommend anyone go here. My previous doctors were my advocate, not my enemy.
