        A BIT OF A JOKE TOOK THEM A DART 540 THEY CHARGED ME FOR LIGN HONE AND WASHING CUT CRANK THEN TOLD ME BLOCK WAS CRACKED A LITTLE OD

        The Best Machine shop

        I went to Brain (the owner) about 3 years ago to get some machine work for the engine in my kids 70 chevelle after weighing out the cost to benifit ratio. the plan was put into effect to build a stroked Small Block Chevy. He ordered the rotating assembly from his supplier (Eagle Specialties) and started the machine work. when I pickeed up the block and hard parts I was surprised at the details he put into this block. "it Was machined Perfect!" the decks were done, line honed , bored and honed with a torque plate, and when I looked at the cylinders. he clearnced the bottom of each cylinder and the oil pan rails This guy knows his stuff! all and all i wouldnt go to anyone else and there is some very good machine shops in chicago,il but none of them can match his quality of work. and the prices are awesome considering the detail of the work done.         Speed Service is the best mach...

        Speed Service is the best machine shop in the city of chicago. I sent Brian a 350 out of my 70 chevelle and he did the clean up on the block, line honed it, bored it, and decked it ,and he ordered the rotating assembly to turn it into a 383. When I got the finished product I was amazed at the quality of the work. They go above and beyond the regular work. This engine was awesome!! Needless to say, when I built the bottom end every clearence, was perfect. When I started the engine my oil pressure was at 80 at all times. prefect machine work is hard to find and this guy does it right the first time. I'm actually going to send him a 454 next week to turn into a 496 for me.



        My advise to anyone thinking of going here. Dont waste anymore time and get there now! He does alot of work. you'll see when you go into the shop he has prolly 100 motors getting work done
