Kitchen Remodeling
Our carpenters perform a vast range of tasks including wood and metal framings systems of all types. Finish carpentry systems include drywall, suspended ceilings, moldings & trims, cabinets & countertops, siding and roof systems including architectural standing seam. We specialize in commercial office and retail finishes with capabilities ranging from difficult curved wall systems to unique suspended ceiling details.
Drywalls
Our staff of highly qualified painters can tackle the toughest project. From finishing drywall to specialized coatings, they can do it all. The following is a partial list of services performed by our painters and finishers: Drywall finishing, interior and exterior painting and wall coatings, epoxy floor systems, and acid etched stained concrete floor finishes just to name a few.
Framing
This project was a new 38,850 square foot mini-storage facility consisting of four buildings, one of which has a climate-controlled section. The structure is pre-engineered standard mini-warehouse framing. An existing historical barn located on the site was also renovated for office space.
Cabinet Installation

New Construction
Although Vanston/O'Brien works well in any method of project delivery, we encourage the use of design/build because we strongly believe in the advantages for our clients. Design/build contracting is an integrated approach that occurs when a single entity is responsible for both the design and the construction services. Owners, designers, contractors, and subcontractors work together as a team with the intention of offering a faster and less expensive way to complete the project than the more conventional design-bid-build method, while still providing high quality and functionality. Each discipline contributes to the building design as a whole, rather than focusing on only their portion of the project. This collaboration creates early knowledge of construction costs, and allows for informed decision making during the design phase and increased production during construction. Utilizing our affiliated companies and in-house trades, we can steamline the construction process and achieve Value through Partnership to offer our clients tremendous savings in both cost and time.

Landscaping and Fencing

Landscaping
Vanston/O'Brien has the ability to perform many types of earthwork and site utility work. Ground water and poor soil conditions are no problem for our experienced employees. Services include site grading and balancing, parking lot installation, domestic water and sewer as well as public service mains, storm water detention basins and valuable space-saving underground detention systems. Quality landscaping services are also performed by our excellent crew.

Siding
This pre-engineered facility has a warehouse building of 13,800 square feet and an office building of 1,784 square feet. Both buildings have clear span rigid frames and vee-rib siding. 20-year galvalume standing seam roof panels cover a 0.5:12 pitched roof on the warehouse and a 1:12 pitched roof on the office.

Carpentry
While there are many benefits to design/build, Vanston/O'Brien also offers a full range of commercial contracting capabilities including project management and subcontracted work of our self-performed trades including sitework, utilities, carpentry, drywall, painting and finishes, concrete, steel erection and steel fabrication. Insulation
We supplied and erected this new 79,200 square foot pre-engineered indoor practice facility. The open web trusses have a clear span of 220 feet and are covered by Tectum brand panels, which provide thermal and sound insulation. The exterior walls, built by others, are conventionally constructed with brick veneer. The roof slopes at a 5:12 pitch from 45 feet at the low eave to 88 feet at the peak. Many catwalk structures are installed throughout to access the upper reaches of the interior space.
Masonry
This addition to as existing office and warehouse provides 15,840 square feet of retail space and 22,080 square feet of warehouse space which can be divided into as many as 10 retail suites. The structure is entirely pre-engineered except for the towers on the front facade which are conventionally built of masonry and steel roof framing.
