X-rays
At the office of Dr. Rizk, we want to make sure we get the full picture of whatâ€™s going on with your dental health. We use digital x-rays, panoramic x-rays, and an iCAT CT scanner, depending on your individual needs. By using the most advanced x-ray equipment available, we expose you to minimal radiation while getting the visual information we need instantly to decide on a treatment plan. Whether youâ€™re in for a regular check-up, cosmetic dentistry, or implants, our x-ray equipment will provide a picture thatâ€™s worth a thousand words and more than a few smiles.
Oral Cancer Screening
As part of each exam, Dr. Rizk will conduct a visual and manual check for signs of oral cancer. These signs may include unexplained pain, swelling, sores, numbness, or bleeding. By being proactive and discovering any potential problems as soon as possible, weâ€™ll be able to see you smile for a very long time.

Teeth Cleaning
The best way to protect yourself from getting cavities is to make sure to brush and floss regularly and see your dentist at least twice a year. Not only will you get a thorough, gentle cleaning at these visits, but theyâ€™re also a great way for your dentist to check for any early signs of decay.Â
Fluoride Treatment
Weâ€™re very experiencedÂ when it comes to dealing with even the most severe dental health issues, but why not do our best to prevent problems before they start? Each time you visit Dr. Rizk for a checkup, you can expect to receive a fluoride treatment.

Fillings
Resin Composite
When it comes to cavities, Dr. Rizk firmly believes that a mouthful of metal is not the solution to your problems. If you have existing mercury fillings, Dr. Rizk will remove them using a holistic treatment protocol to protect your overall health. The dentist will then treat these cavities, or any new ones that pop up, with composite resin fillings. Composite resin fillings match the color of your teeth, providing a durable and attractive alternative to traditional fillings. In addition to filling cavities, composite can also be used for minor tooth reshaping. Though weâ€™re proud of our work, in this case, it can be our little secret.
Veneers
If youâ€™ve been hiding your smile, isnâ€™t it time you let it shine? With porcelain veneers, Dr. Rizk can repair teeth that are chipped, worn, broken, or stained. On your first visit, the dentist will remove a thin layer of enamel from your natural tooth surface, then take an impression of your teeth and apply temporary veneers. Once your custom porcelain veneers have been received from the lab, Dr. Rizk will bond the permanent veneers to your teeth. With porcelain veneers, you can brush and floss as you would normally. The only change will be a brighter smile and a more confident you.
Crowns
A porcelain inlay or onlay may be an ideal solution if your tooth decay is more extensive but not quite enough for a crown. When using a porcelain inlay or onlay, Dr. Rizk preserves the healthy part of the tooth while removing the decay. The process of fitting, molding, and bonding the inlay or onlay will take more than one visit, but when you leave the office with this durable and attractive alternative to a full crown, the smile on your face will be worth it.
Bridges
Dental Bonding
Minor cosmetic issues can become a huge problem if they keep you from sharing your smile. Dr. Rizk uses composite bonding to help with a range of cosmetic concerns including discoloration, chips, cracks, receding gums, or irregularly shaped teeth. The dentist will apply a durable plastic resin, then sculpt the resin to your toothâ€™s surface. A laser or LED light hardens the composite, and after a final shape and polish, it will blend seamlessly with your natural teeth.

Root Canal Treatment

Sandra has been with Dr. Rizk for 19 years. She studied at El Paso Community College and the Las Vegas Institute. As lead dental assistant, Sandra helps Dr. Rizk with every procedure, including oral surgery and implant surgery. She also handles x-rays, impressions, and bite analysis. Sandraâ€™s favorite parts of the job include getting to know her patients and helping them with their oral health and self-esteem. She also loves working with the professional team. When sheâ€™s not helping Dr. Rizk and his patients, Sandra enjoys gardening, music, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
