Chambers Auto Repair & Towing

My wife's car was vandalized on Christmas Eve. When she got to the location where she left the car, it was gone. After making several calls she found out that it was towed to chambers, obviously with no authorization. A small back glass and sunroof were broken out, and chambers said they could fix it and went on to tell us about how he worked as a recovery agent for the police and would do what he could to get us a good deal. They originally quoted us a price of $250. Then they said at least $500 and another week. Then another week. Yesterday when we went to get it the man we had been talking to was getting out of my wife's car with his muddy dog. We paid the bill of almost $800 (including the $200 tow bill) and headed home. Driving home she could tell something was wrong so we took it to our local garage to have it checked out. They found that chambers had broken the muffler off when they were towing it (from a flat asphalt parking lot) and welded it back together for $70. Today when vacuuming out all the glass that was still all over the car and cleaning muddy dog prints off the leather seats I was looking at the front bumper and realized how scratched up it was. Then noticed about 5 lbs of asphalt, some pieces the size of golf balls or larger, between the bumper and radiator. I called and told them about this and wasn't even going to mention the paw prints, being dog owners ourselves, but she started to say something about them vacuuming it out. I was told "I'll let him know" and still waiting on a response.

They are crooks. They do not live by their word. The wife will tell you she will meet you on a Saturday and when you call the husband refuses, hangs up like a child and then doesn't answer any calls thereafter to discuss it like adults. Perfect Mitchs towing anyday.
