Bad service, dishonest!

Trash collection nightmare!
-Customer service line is answered by rude teenager, or not answered at all.
-Sometimes, trash haulers empty one trash can while leaving one next to it full.
-Sometimes, they steal/ throw away your trash cans!
-If you cancel service mid-billing cycle, good luck getting your money back! If they actually cut a check, you will be slapped with "processing fees"
-Dishonest, unprofessional, avoid at all costs!

They're doing us a favor, obviously

Their customer service leaves plenty to be desired. They pick up the trash when ever they get to it and when we call in for any reason they act they are doing us a favor by even answering the phone or providing some sort of customer satisfaction. We've been a customer of EDS for 11 years now and they have obviously lost interest in the account. They are obviously too busy to think of individual customers as they call in. So my advise to EDS customers...don't expect any consideration if you need to contact their office for any reason. I have no problem with the drivers and the guys doing the actual work. Its just hard to give your money to an overall ARROGANT company.

This is the worst vendor you will ever deal with. Read the other internet posts. I have never had such a bad experience with a company. Avoid at all cost.Too bad I couldn't have rated them a zero.

Don't waste your time or money!

In the month I had their service they never did manage to pick up the trash on the day they were supposed to. After the 3rd miss I cancelled service and never did get any of my money back. One customer service person I spoke to was basically useless. The other was very nice, but after watching my garbage rot on the curb for a week after being told twice that it would be picked up in the next day or so, there was nothing she could say to convice me to stay. Save yourself a hassle and some money and hire someone else!

I tried to get EDS to quote me their rates. The truck has been collecting trash from the house across the street for years. They couldn't locate my address. They had addresses all around me. Suggested that the driver was just picking up trash for a friend! These people are about the most clueless group on the face of the planet!

Outstanding Service

I have been with EDS for 19 years. The have never missed a pick-up and often exceed my expectations. On one occasion, I was late putting out my trash and I noted the truck had passed and was about a two blocks away. The driver must have seen me in the rear view mirror and proceeded to back up the two blocks to retrieve my waste. Don't think I can get that type of service from any of their competitors or a govt owner pick up service.

EDS Stinks!!!

Overbilling, missing days, threw away the lids to my cans, broke the lid and threw the top away on my roll trash can. Last draw this week, got a bill for $24 extra for bagged grass clippings. Charged me once for "heavy" trash can. Used to have Recycling until I witnessed them throwing the recycling in the truch with my trash. Used these idiots for 4 yrs, the monthly bill increases every six months! Can barely get anyone on the phone, when you complain, nothing gets done! Ever. So long EDS Your performance is on par with the trash you pick up....if you show up.

EDS Drivers go above & beyond, likewise Customer Service!

EDS Driver made my day! Any of us who work with the public in a service capacity know the customer is NOT always right. Yet today our driver proved that you can still give exceptional service to difficult customers, namely, me. We didn't have our trash down on time & I heard the truck. Yikes! I was scrambling to get our 'oh too heavy' containers to the street, yet the truck was 2 houses down. One collector saw me & alerted the other. They quickly divided there duties and came to my rescue. Not only did they not make me feel like a nuisance, they let me know I had a right to expect service. Wow. He came to gather trash can after trash can with a smile and toted them down to the house where the truck was. In calling customer service to brag on our driver, I realized I was late on the bill. The gal I spoke to made arrangements for me & made me feel like their most valued customer. This was not my experience with my last waste removal company. Thanks EDS, you sure went the extra 2 miles!

No Stars! but it won't let me do that

I've used them for 15-20 years and in the last 6 months they have missed my pick up once every month and it is just a horrible experience to try to get them to then come out the next business day to do what I've paid them to do. I've never been able to get anyone, except the receptionist, on the phone and after I leave a message - I've never gotten a call back. I have to keep calling back throughout the day until I demand to speak with someone. It usually takes 2 days to get them to pick up my trash and LOTS of aggravation. Very poor customer service and horrible work service lately.

I just wanted to take the time to tell how how helpful EDS was with our current project. We needed information on a dumpster and the person in the commercial division took the time help us get the right size and made sure it was delivered on time and put in the right place. We then called back to lengthen the time we needed the dumpster and left a message. It was returned within 15 minutes and the lady on the phone was very professional and courteous in helping extend the period of time we needed the dumpster. I would recommend EDS to people in the Golden area without reservation and commend them on job well done. Thanks EDS

EDS is dropping like a rock

I have used this outfit for over 20 years and the last 2 months have been a mess. First they come later and later, then they failed to pick up my trash three out of 5 weeks. Odd that they pick up for the next guy on the street. The customer service has also gone way down hill, they fail to return calls and told me that the driver claims there was no trash to pick up at my house. That's funny a 20 year routine and somehow the customer is now to blame. I too tried their 'recycling program' once, it was a waste of time, they never picked it up. So I do my own recycling now at least I know it probably won't end up in the landfill. I'll be looking for another service now.

Over promise and under serve

I do not understand how this company can stay in business. I have used EDS for 6 months now paying for both recycling and waste disposal. I do admit they will take large loads if needed, but I wouldn't need them to take a large load if they would pick up the load on a regular basis.They are supposed to come once a week, and the regular waste disposal is usually pretty good. They have missed my house 2 times. But the recycling is on a completely different much lower level.In 6 months they have picked up my recycling 2 times. They always say the same thing too. "I dont show any notes on your account" What about the 8 times i have called because you didn't pick up my recycling.

Unsatisfactory Customer Service

There is a cure if you do not receive the service you have paid for by simply taking EDS to small claims court. They appear not to care if they lose a customer now and again to poor service since they have a large customer base. However, if customers start holding EDS accountable maybe they will treat customers in a more respectable manner.

Nightmare

In two months of service, they did NOT pick up my trash 5 times!Unbelievable. You call and they are all nice and say: I am so sorry, We see what is going on ...and next week... they miss it again. I am so fed up.
