"Quality Care at Affordable Prices". My experience here matches this statement printed on their business card. Actually for me, enormously-better quality than my previous vet. With excellent value, I comfortably recommend this vet to friends. They have lots of happy customers, so it can be pretty busy. The building isn't fancy, but my happy, well-cared cat at very-reasonable cost is way better than paying lots for negative experiences. (My guess is the posted negative reviews is from surrounding competitors that are losing customers.)

I LOVE THIS VET AND ALL THE OFFICE HELP! MY LAB HATES ALL MEN, BUT HE LOVES THIS VET AND EVERYONE WHO WORKS THERE! TRY IT YOURSELF BEFORE YOU MAKE UP YOUR MIND.

Low cost, compassionate. Only charged me $30 to put my doxie down. I take my champion Papillion there. Some of you who say this place is the pits? I don t understand why

Never again

New to town, desperate to find a vet for my pup. My first clue should've been the harshly rude woman who answered the phone. She kept cutting me off, was extremely rushed to get me off the phone. Once we got to the clinic, I should've walked out once the smell of urine and ammonia hit me. Nobody acknowledged my presence for four minutes. The going woman at the computer didn't smile, didn't act interested and certainly wasn't friendly. In the exam room, the doctor was hurried and distracted. He asked few questions and didn't seem to listen. $100 later and I'm unsure of the diagnosis, unsure of what he's treating and overall dissatisfied.

Superior Service..!!

It all started out by my dog being neutered by the vet. I was curious on something that was going on while healing. The vet had let me bring him in to check things out without being billed. Ever since then anytime i have a problem or anything he is always there. Even when i moved States he was still there to his best ability. I will never change Vets as i've found my Vet already. His Services to me are nothing but the Very Best at a very reasonable price.

I love this vet he is your classic country vet, if your looking for 5 stars and the Ritz hes not the vet for you. He will give it to you strait without sugar coating anything. I have taken all of my pets here cats, dogs, horses all of them. He has come out at 10 pm to help me with an lingered horse. I didn't have to pay up front he just added it to my bill so I could pay it later. "Doc" is not one of the new fangled vets that will charge you out the nose for unneeded procedures. Hes an awesome country/farm vet.

Upset

I did something I never do and strayed away from the other local vet in town. I wanted my 2 cats teeth cleaned and this place was having a dental month special. So I went ahead and brought both my cats in for a teeth cleaning. I was very disturbed when I picked my cats up. I heard a Big Bang in the back and a lady yelled for help, they couldn't get my cat in the kennel properly. And then I got them home...I opened the kennel door and my cat ran for its life up the stairs, with both his back legs just flailing back and forth like he was paralyzed. (He wasn't, it's an affect of anesthetic) but the point is I dropped my cats off at 9am picked them up at 4pm and they were still extremely drugged!! My cat did not come off of the anesthetic till the next day, that is not okay. I use to volunteer at a vet and we never sent animals home that drugged up. I cancelled the appointments I had for my dogs later that week.

Very reasonably priced for basic services. I have used them for vaccinations and neutering. Friendly staff and casual atmosphere. First choice for taking care of my dogs!

If you want to get ripped off go to a different vet in the area

I have read some of the horror stories about this place, but considering I've been taking my animals there for a couple years now and have had no problems at all, I am skeptical of their validity. I had a dog previously that I would take to another well known vet in the area. For 3 years I had to pay out an average of $350.00 a month for certain medications my dog needed towards the end of his life. After his death and I got a couple new I ones, I looked for another vet because I was a little skeptical of the pricing. Just as I suspected... Grain valley east was much cheaper for the same thing. I think that what it all comes down to is overhead. Their facility and overhead might not be as nice and expensive as others in the area, but that only results in lowers costs to the customers. I've have turned several friends and family on to this vet and we have all had nothing but good experiences. I have never seen any dirt or mess inside. Yes... There have been a couple cats running around in the front areas, but no more than two, and it's because they try and save stray cats. I don't mean to rant and write a long drawn out review, but I just think that Jackson county east needs to be defended in these reviews, and I think some of the people writing the negative experiences probably have something to do with the fact a competitor of theirs opened in the area and is much cheaper.

Im blessed to have found this vet!

I have nothing but good to say about the staff and the Dr.! They are so friendly and are there to help the animal not rob you like other vet near by I have visited,I am allergic to cats and it is a problem when I stay in the office to long but I respect them by taking in cats and finding them,so I can over look that. The most important thing to me is that my dogs are well takin care of and I totaly trust the Dr. :)

Went in to drop off my puppy f...

Went in to drop off my puppy for his dew claw removal, flea check and first shots... He said that he would call us when the puppy was ready to be picked up around 2. WE had to call THEM at 3:30. Went to pick up our pup and he had poop & pee MATTED to him! Then the Dr said that he NEUTERED our puppy!! That was never even a discussion or question! The place stunk horribly (and I understand, you have to expect a little bit of a smell, after all, it IS a vet) but it was absolutely disgusting. There were "stray" cats that had been dumped there that they let roam the office and were all over. He ruined our plans to breed our puppy.

I would never use this vet at ...

I would never use this vet at all he dosen't know how to use an xray machine nor does he know how to read the xray. If you do go in for your appointment he might yell at you he did me also think about taking a respirator because of all the cat urine and feces everywhere. This place is very dirty. I think he has bit off more than he can chew. He almost killed my dog twice, oh yea and he don't know how to stitch a dog up correctly.
