Don't expect much from their Customer Relations

I've had multiple bad experiences in the 20 months I've been on their plan.



Two years in a row I've had to pay for my sons medication out of pocket because their paperwork wasn't ready until 2 weeks into the new year.



They lost record of a payment that I made. Even though I made the payment by credit card, they never applied it. This resulted in my insurance being cancelled twice. Both times I was reinstated, but had to spend HOURS dealing with multiple people who told me conflicting information. In one conversation I would be told they found the payment and would apply it, then, the next time I would be told that conversation never happened. To make matters worse, several of the customer service representatives I have talked to have been condescending and rude to me.



If you choose this company, make sure to get everything they say in writing. Not sure that will even help. I have transcripts of what their cs reps tell me and it doesn't seem to matter.

Horrible. My policy was cancelled in June, 2014 because my payment was 31 days late. We had just moved to Boulder from Grand Junction, and the bill was lost in the mail. Obviously, that was my fault. I was told the grace period was 30 days instead of 90 because I wasn't receiving any Federal credits, and there was nothing they could do to reinstate the policy. I paid the amount due upon cancellation, and didn't hear anything further. As it turns out, they reinstated my policy WITHOUT notifying me, drafted July's premium from my account (but didn't pay any of the medical bills incurred in July), then billed me for August. When I didn't pay August, they terminated my already terminated policy again and stuck me with a prorated bill for August, which I have no intention of paying.



Your laundromat keeps better records. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with these idiots until the next open enrollment, when I plan to cancel.

I've had my family on their solo plan for over three years and have had rates increase every year. Started out at about $370.00 now they want $758.00 not to mention an $8000.00 family deductible! Out of pocket medical expenses for my family were about $5000.00 RMHMO paid almost nothing. I was charged $3000.00 for blood work, you'd think RMHMO could negotiate costs since they don't pay anything. Healthy people are better off these days putting money in a personal savings account drawing only when health services are needed. It's no fun writing a check for $3000.00 then paying a $600.00 premium the same month. Shop around there are way better health options out there! They're supposed to be non profit....they make plenty.
