Overall
Double charged

My expierence with Flanagins was terrible! The staff is very friendly and eager to welcome you to the bar and get you drunk. Then once you are intoxicated they take advantage of the customer and will add more drinks to your tab. so don't think about opening a tap with a credit card. My friends and I went up to the bar to meet my brother and bunch of his friends for a birthday party. We told our waitress we were going to pay cash (me and two of my friends) and my brother said he wanted to open a tab. At the end of the night my friends and i decided to leave, but my brother was not ready. We left early and paid our bill cash. Placed the money in the waitress' hand and left. Later on that night when my brother went to close out his tab, our drinks were added to his bill. He discussed this matter with the waitress and general manager. They told him that he needed to take carer of this with the owner. He relized that he was beating a dead horse and swallowed his pride and decided to wait until tomorrow. still very upset with this matter, the general manager put him under the impression that it would be taken care of. Flanagins is not open on sunday (the next day). A real Irish bar would be, so don't be decived by the name. Monday was to late, my brother had to fly back to New York. I tried to take care of it and placed many phone calls the reach the owner. Finally on thursday i was sick of waiting and went in during the day to try to take care of this matter. When i spoke with the owner, he told me that he has recieved my phone calls and basically told me to go f myself. That waitress poketed 80 bucks and my brother was out 80. This is not the first time this has happened to my friends at this bar. Three or four times we have delt weith being over charged at this bar. so i would suggest saving your money and trying mcfaddens.

General Info
In Ireland, you often hear people ask "How was the craic?" Pronounced "crack," it's Irish for the ambiance, conversation, and liveliness of a bar. Drinks and food bring you to a pub for lunch: craic makes you feel welcome and pulls you back with friends after work. Located in the heart of Grand Rapids downtown, Flanagan's has been a part of the Grand Rapids community for 35 years. Known for great food and relaxed atmosphere, the world-famous Irish hospitality comes in the form of a smile and a cold draft. Our Irish family stopped in for drinks before, during, and after a family wedding reception at the Mckay Tower and we were struck by both the history and the potential of the pub. Next to Mckay Tower, Rosa Parks Circle, and the DeVos Convention Center, there's no better place to be in the thick of Grand Rapids life. So after long preparation, Flanagan's is once again under Irish ownership and we have remodeled the entire bar in modern Irish charm - come in and you'll see a relaxed, authentic Irish pub with great low-priced specials and a curated draft & whiskey list. All-new draft system. Expansive whiskey selection. New food menu. Remodeled with Irish welcome. Call it Flanagan's 2.0. Call it Flanagan-again's (on second thought, don't call it that). Come join the craic - the Irish have never met a stranger. In Ireland, you often hear people ask "How was the craic?"
