Founded in 1945, Trimac Transportation is one of the leading providers of bulk transportation and logistics services in North America. It operates more than 1,000 tractors and over 2,000 bulk trailers and has nearly 60 branch offices in the United States. The company hauls dry bulk commodities, including cement, coal, fly ash, lime and dry plastics. It employs more than 800 company drivers and over 500 independent contractors under lease. Trimac Transportation also operates nearly 20 maintenance shops certified by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. The company s logistics and consulting services include freight cost analysis, optimization, and planning and rationalization. Its transportation brokering services feature daily load management and bulk and nonbulk load brokering.
