Uptown Shoe Repair

The cobbler who runs the shop is very sweet and personable, but his work is way beyond what I even expected. I brought two pairs of ladie's shoes in for replacement of rubber tips on the heels. One pair I loved, but had actually decided to throw away at one point because the backs of the heels where they rest when I'm driving, had gotten beaten up and had little flaps of leather sticking out. But thinking they may have a chance, I retrieved them from my trash , deciding that maybe the flaws wouldn't be noticed with slacks anyway. Upon returning for them, he had not only fixed the heels, but glued down the flappy little flaws and polished both pairs of shoes besides. I hadn't even asked for that. Now they look almost new and certainly way above and beyond my expectations. I would recommend him to anyone! He proved that you don't have to throw away your old, comfortable shoes for new ones that hurt!

This place is great. Friendly, capable, talented. They can fix shoes and boots, but also purses and coats! Inexpensive, too, and a fast turn-around.
