I am not an adult, but when i went to the Kent clinic with outdated info(only found out when i was told by the woman at the front desk). She told me in an almost understandable way. I Believe even Teenager's plasma is as good as adults. if CSL Plasma let teenagers age 17 at the least donate with consent from a parent, couldn't we save a ton more lives? i mean it would be nice to donate plasma and know that i'm saving lives a lot more often than i would blood. even if i wasn't paid, i'd still be happy knowing that i'm helping save lives. But, unfortunately, CSL doesn't do that, and i'm not sure they ever will or if they ever did.

I called first to inquire about giving blood. I was told that I could bring in some things to prove that I am who I said I was (paperwork, id) and they would set me up. I went in about 5pm and they close at 6pm. They said it takes 2 to 3 hours the first time to get set up. They said my paperwork needed poststamps from the postoffice on it and that my SS# paperwork needed to say SS# on it. That was fine. What was not fine was the attitude. It would have been nice to be met with a nice friendly face at the front counter instead of a gestapo receptionist. I will go back with my new paperwork, but I am hesitant. The guy on the phone sounded friendly. Please people....can we all try to be friendly to each other? I looked around when I was in there. There were about 2 to 3 clients/customers in there at the time. It looked clean, but I believe they could make an effort to make it a more friendly place to go.
