Interesting wine selections ruined by the food

The restaurant has a good wine selection in a wine shop format - walk around the classified bins and select what you wish. Wine pricing is moderate compared to many restaurants, but don't expect serious help from the staff unless you are a novice.Sadly, the food lags far behind. The menu seemed to be overly comprehensive compared to what even a good staff could be expected to prepare, rather than a narrower regional style which better French restaurants realize is the key to quality control. The food items received by the table reflected this in an uneven quality. I would avoid the fish dishes - the portions were rather disappointingly small and there was nothing noteworthy about the presentation.

The food is excellent and the wine selection is vast. You can choose a wine from the wine market attached to the restaurant, and have it with dinner for a small ($10) upcharge. Nice outdoor seating by the Desert Shores lake, heaters in the winter and misters in the summer. Lovely place, a little pricey for some, but for the food quality, it is worth it. Excellent service.
