Summit Custom Homes

When buying a Summit Custom Home you are buying a home that will be nothing but one major issue after another. They will not back up warranty and customer service is poor. Recommend not buying from them unless you want to spend tens of thousands to fix their poor quality.

They rush, they are not honest. Any problems you have and we had LOTS and you bring to their attention they ignore you and the warranty department is rude and ignorant.

We also had brought lots of things to their attention during the finally walk through and was told they would be addressed and NEVER was and when we brought it up again in the 90 day walk through they pretty much told us to kick rocks and we had signed papers.

Summit is about quantity and not quality

We are very unhappy ready to sell

They will rush you,rush everything and take advantage of you, so please beware

I AGREE WITH OTHER POSTER. DO NOT BUILD WITH SUMMIT CUSTOM HOMES (of Kansas City)!!! We were told on 2 different instances that our lot would only cost "X" number of dollars to build on. Then we get the bill for more than 3x what we were "ballpark" quoted. I understand that I didn't get an exact, and I didn't have it in writing, but they pretty much told me to kick rocks. I mentioned saving money for them by my wife and I not having a realtor, and they said that didn't matter, they have to pay commissions to Better Homes and Gardens anyway. So note to self, DON'T BUILD WITH SUMMIT, get everything in writing, and even if you don't need one, get a realtor to represent you when buying. It won't change their stance at all. Their "Homeowner Care Specialist" was worthless as well. I strongly urge everyone against working with this group. Did I mention I was told the cheaper price the day of signing when the question was brought up? ANYTHING FOR A SALE!!!!
