The Massillon Fire Department focuses on the protection of life and property from fire and other emergencies through response, prevention and education. Established in 1853, it offers fire suppression and prevention and investigation services. The department s staff is comprised of more than 45 full-time firefighters and paramedics. The Massillon Fire Department s equipment includes paramedic units, pumpers, staff vehicles and an aerial tower truck. Additionally, the department provides paramedic emergency services and fire safety education programs. It operates under the government of the city of Massillon, which also maintains community development, engineering, health, housing, income tax, law, police, and parks and recreation departments. The Massillon Fire Department is located in Massillon, Ohio.
