Incredible Moving & Storage

Can I add negative stars? Worst moving experience of my life.



We scheduled an appointment with Incredible Moving and Storage and were told in an email, "somtime after noon is fine but it will be after our first job we will call wen the guys are on there way." We never received any contact from the movers, and had to call repeatedly before we made contact with anyone. We finally made contact around 3:00PM and were told that they forgot about us, but would still come and move us after they were done with their current job. He said they would be there between 6:45PM and 7:00PM. They did not arrive until 7:30PM, at which point Daniel was very rude to us and quickly ran through the contract and had us sign it. By the time they had arrived, we had already taken a huge amount of our stuff over to the new place. We primarily only had furniture and a few boxes left over. The movers were very slow moving and took forever to get our stuff onto their tiny truck. Luckily we took the majority of our stuff earlier in the day as there is no way everything could have fit.



When we arrived at the new apartment 20 minutes away, it was already 9:15PM. We had several guys of our own on hand that helped unload everything and get it up to our apartment. Our guys were moving way faster than theirs, and we ended up doing a lot of the work. They were finally finishing up around 11:00PM. When it came to discussing the bill, Daniel got heated very quickly. I brought up how late they had been after forgetting about us and how slow everyone was moving. He gave me excuse after excuse saying that his guys are tired after so many moves and that he is only human and forgot. He told me that his cash paying customers come first, and that coupon customers come last. That is unacceptable and really makes me not want to buy coupons like this ever again. He started swearing at me after that and kept asking if there was going to be a problem with the bill. I said there wasn't a problem, but I just wanted to talk about some things that went wrong. He got very loud and told his guys to take a break and that they weren't going to finish moving until he gets paid. All that was left was the couch, which the guys did finish moving off the truck anyway. We were extremely embarrassed to be moving in as late at night as it was, and to have him yelling and cursing on top of it made it much worse. I was afraid for the safety of my fiancé and her mother, who were with me at the time as well. They ended up demanding excessive payment on top of the voucher we had purchased through LivingSocial. We had all but a few dollars owed readily available, and we attempted to locate an additional money to give him. He said to forget the rest of the money and jumped in the truck. He began to speed off and almost hit my fiancé's father, who brought out the additional money for the movers. He said he didn't want it, but we made him take it anyway as we did not want him to say we owed him anything.



We later found that several things had been damaged in the move. Our lamp was in pieces and ruined, there was a tear in the back of our couch and the knob of an antique hutch was broken. We were told that we were insured for $0.60 per pound of damaged goods, however we do not feel comfortable contacting the company to file a claim, especially after finding out we were dealing with a criminal (http://fox6now.com/2012/06/28/moving-menace-is-back-in-business/).

DO NOT USE! They were an hour and a half late, showed up with only two instead of the requested three, and continuously dropped my items. Despite all of this, they charged me for 15 mins for overtime ($25). They were not professional or accommodating and I would never use them again.

Horrible people, horrible movers. I have moved three times in four years and these people were completely incompetent idiots. They charged me for three men, but only two men did any work, the third stayed in his truck the entire time. Told me that "press board" furniture had to be taken apart and was went completely ballistic when he had to take the door off of the hinges to get a desk out. After he told me it wouldn't ride in the truck and would break he dropped it purposely on the stairs and broke a bracket, refusing to put it on the truck. The truck was too small and three friends had to load up their SUVs to take all of my things to the new house. They complained I had too much stuff the entire time and insulted my crap furniture. Before he would move my things he demanded I stop at the bank and get cash and wouldn't unload my things until I paid him. When they got to my new place the head of the operation, the third man, sat in the truck the entire time with his shoes and socks off and belt undone. Another mover was completely out of shape and untrained and hurt himself, and we again saw the head mover go completely ballistic. He ended up hiring men off of the street to do the job, while he and his injured worker got into a physical altercation in the street. Before he left he dumped all of his garbage on the street, then continued to scream and yell at his crew in the truck for 20 minutes. NEVER HIRE.

I hired these movers at the last minute and they were so accomidating and were able to schedule my move without any problems at my convinience. Not only that, They were professional and careful with my belongings. I would absolutely use them again and recommend them to all of my friends and family.
