As a mom herself, Dr. Bennett has a keen understanding of the emotions her patients are experiencing and finds it extremely gratifying to help them through the process of creating a life. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband Alan Jacobs, their children, and their beloved yellow lab, Tucker. Dr. Bennett and Dr. Jacobs met while both were medical residents. After their personal lives merged, their careers moved in parallel as they pursued fellowships in Boston – hers in reproductive endocrinology and his in neuroendocrinology.

Ultrasound
During my cycle, the monitoring was made simple by scheduling appointments. I never had to wait in a waiting room for longer than 5 minutes. Since Dr. Bennett schedules all of her appointments, the monitoring caused me no stress at all. It is perfect to have her undivided attention during your ultrasound scans and blood work, so you can ask her any questions as they come to mind without feeling rushed. We were extremely happy that we switched to Dr. Bennett's office. She was warm and friendly, something we did not experience at the prior offices. We certainly felt like a number in a factory with the other places, but Dr. Bennett's office was the complete opposite and the least stressful experience I've had. The care that I received was outstanding and the encouragement that I was given was above and beyond anything that I expected.

Minimally Invasive Surgery
Infertility Treatments The course of treatment we recommend will be based on our diagnosis, your medical history and your age. Often, more basic treatments such as medications, insemination or minimally invasive surgery will be all that you need. In some cases, it will make sense for you to undergo a more advanced procedure such as IVF.
Vasectomy
Semen Analysis: An evaluation of semen for certain characteristics (semen volume, sperm count, sperm motility, sperm morphology, semen fructose level and pH, and liquefaction time) of a male's semen and the sperm contained in the semen. It may be done while investigating a couple's infertility or after a vasectomy to verify that the procedure was successful. Different laboratories may have different parameters of what is considered normal.
Laparoscopy
In this procedure, a thin, telescope-like instrument is passed via the vagina, through the woman's cervix, into the uterine cavity. This allows us to evaluate the interior of the uterus for the presence of disease or congenital malformations. As with laparoscopy, fine surgical instruments can be passed via the hysteroscope for the performance of corrective surgery. Through the hysteroscope, fibroids, uterine septums and polyps can be removed.

A hysterosalpingogrm is an x-ray that lets us see the inside the uterus and fallopian tubes to assess whether there's blockage or other damage. If it reveals a tubal problem, we may perform laparoscopic surgery. If it's a uterine problem, we may perform a hysteroscopy.
