Food is very good but expect to wait a long time for it. The wait makes me rethink coming back on a weekend. Maybe during the week is better.

It's easily the best Japanese restaurant around. And I will go so far to say the best in restaurant in Albany.
My wife and I like to try new Japanese places when we are traveling and we always compare them to Mikata's.
All the food is great but the fried rice is the best to me. I'll usually get double or triple rice with meal - yummmmmy

This is in my opinion one of the best restaurants in Albany. The service is always great the food is superb and the sushi is to die for. We are never disappointed with Mikata's. When traveling abroad it is difficult finding this quality of food anywhere.
