Robert's Towing & Recovery

I can't believe the city has a contract with this guy. He charged $395 to tow my car literally one mile, then accepts cash only and DOES NOT EVEN GIVE CHANGE. Became extremely angry when we (and the police) asked for some decrease in the charges because it turns out I was not even parked officially on city land and probably shouldn't have been towed in the first place. Legitimately frightened to talk to this guy.Also, he is profoundly unprofessional. The internet says open 24/7, but really you have to call him to get an appointment to pick up your car because he doesn't have a real office. The address online was incorrect and when we did find the place we had to wait in the cold for him to show up and let us in. He charges an extra fee to retrieve your car whenever he decides it's "after hours," but also charges impound fees for days when he's not open. Extortion is the kindest thing I could call this experience.To his credit, he pulled my bumper out of where it was scraping my tire before I left. Against his credit, my bumper was NOT digging into my tire when I initially parked the car so....

A wonderful person, who assisted my son while stranded after an accident. Went above and beyond the call of duty. Very gracious and helpful.
