This was the worst experience I have had with carpet cleaning services. After waiting 2 and half hours for them to come, I had to call them. Come to find out they double booked us and were not coming. They did come and only spent 10 minutes cleaning for double the cost of what I was told. When I called and asked why there was extra charges, they explained to me my carpets were scotch guarded. They told me the crew asked me if I wanted it and I said yes. I was never asked and did not want the service. I also had to watch the crew mess around and spray each other with the hose after my 10 minute cleaning my house received. Not to mention, I had to call 4 times before I got an explanation to all of this. The only thing I received was 20% off my next service from them. I appreciate the offer but, I will not be using it and will not use their service ever again.

The air duct cleaning that they performed for us was good. They were prompt, communicative, and quick. Hence, the two stars.



HOWEVER, their follow up billing process was terrible. Six months after the service was performed, I received a call from the owner threatening collections. There had been no invoice, no bill; nothing that alerted me that our bill had not been settled in full (we had recently purchased a new home and the title company was supposed to pay the company directly, but wires got crossed and things didn't happen that way).



When I called, the receptionist alerted me that there would be a late fee applied, to which I was pretty frustrated. LITERALLY NO CONTACT had been made with me for six months and my replies to their phone contact were instant. They threatened first with collections and then with a lien on my property before even having a conversation with me...terrible business practice.



After giving my information to the receptionist, it turns out that the zip code they were trying to run through the credit card machine was wrong. Had they called with a different attitude instead of threats, then the whole threatening process could have been avoided. I understand the need to hard ball people who haven't paid, but without warning and/or communication? Ridiculous.



I will be looking for another carpet cleaning company the next time I need service.

Excellent service and very friendly to work with! My carpets turned out great! Used them for my car detail and it looks brand new again! Thank you Kip's!!

I purchased a Groupon from Kip's Carpet Cleaning. By the time they were finished with my carpets, they told me that I had to pay over $100 extra for services that were not included in the Groupon. If there is fine print, that fine print should be indicated somewhere so that I am not stuck paying extra money that I had not planned on.

Bait and switch price gouging. I bought a Groupon for $45.00 worth supposedly $95.00 to steam clean three rooms worth of carpet. My appt. was for 1pm and the guy shows up at 10:00 am when I am not even there and casually says they are running ahead of schedule?? Then he tells me that it will be $35.00 extra to use cleaning solution. They don't normally use cleaning solution? I was baffled. Then he says they don't move any furniture and only measure the exposed areas. Yet somehow he claims that I am 70 sq. ft. over the Groupon. I have a queen size bed in my bedroom and there is only a tiny strip showing around it, then a very small office that has furniture in it and a tiny bedroom with furniture in it. This is not over 270 sq. ft by a long shot. Needless to say I was disappointed that they showed up 3-4 hours early when I am not even there, then say that everything is extra. When it was all said and done I paid $130.00 for the "extras" and $45.00 for the Groupon. $175.00 for a tiny amount of carpet. Never again... deceiving business practices to offer a Groupon and then charge so much extra.
