I followed Dr. Springer here from OSVS, where she first saw my dog on emergency and saved her life about 5 years ago. I am ver late in writing this, since unfortunately my old girl was just put to sleep due to cancer. During her first visit throughout the visits in the next five years, Dr. Springer, OSVS, and Eastside Veterinary helped me tremendously. They also helped let me know when it was time to "let her go" and always focused on the bigger picture. It's too late to send a "thank you" card, but I hope one day they read this post....

I wanted to set the record streight about this place. I have been taking my pets to this place since the doors opened. I have had many procedures done ranging from spaying cats to shots for dog and the worst thing I ever had to do. Putting down both a dog and a cat. The last two being the most recent. I have to say that from day one they have been courteous, the place is spotless, the vet techs range from new and not so experienced over the years to kind compassionate and knowledgeable (GABBY!). This can be said for any business. I have dealt with about 4 different vets during my time and they all seemed to have my pets best interest at heart. If you feel taken advantage of, did you ask for best/ worst case scenario options? I have been given the must do and the should do list with every procedure that was costly and never did I feel like it was unfair. It's an east side office and things cost money it is a clinic. Ut also a business, this is forgotten when it is your baby but they see everyone's babies...it's their job, if you feel that you aren't given the attention, call them on it! I am sure they won't mind hearing your disputes with he right tone and verbiage. The last two visits were to put down a 20 year old cat and a 14 year old dog.. I was devistated they took the time to become my "therapist" for a moment and they were as kind as anyone could be in a touchy situation like that. They were not trying to rush me, there was no minimizing and honestly I was there over an hour! I will take my next pets there as well and hope that a few people that have posted negative things here will not reflect to those reading the quality of care you will receive at this clinic.. I know My dog was one of their first patients. All my experiences with them have been professional and even at times personal without being inappropriate ever!! I only give the four stars because I hate rating my loss if my let's as fantastic but they are very good at what they do, and they do care! Cost isn't the cheapest around but I am not sure that cheapest and care should be in the same sentence when it comes to family and medical issues right? I hope that you give them a try, they will be your "furever

I brought my 16 year old little dog to this clinic because he was so sick and dying. I knew he needed to be out of his suffering. Never once did he cry or wimper even though I could see he was in pain at home.
I carried him in he was so thin and tired.
When the vet came in she was rather heartless. She said we will give him a shot to tranquilize him then a second one to stop his heart.
Then she gave him the first shot. He cried out in such excruitating pain I could not get that image out of my mind. Never in all the vet appoitments had I ever seen him react to a shot like that. That should never happen.
No animal being euthanized should have that much pain subjected to them before their death. I had other animals euthanized and never had this expereince. It was horrifying. The worst last moments with my beloved dog are now agonizing to recall. I wanted my poor dog ito be at peace but I am so sorry I took him there. The experience could have been so so much better for him and for us.
