The Doll Cradle

Gave 5 stars only so my comment would be read. Otherwise I rate The Doll Cradle a NEGATIVE 100! While speaking on the phone with the owners they were extremely curteous and helpful. However, the courtesy & helpfulness left the second my 70 year old mother and my sister walked through their door. My family drove 3 hours in bad weather conditions. They treated my family as if we had stolen property. Over the phone they were very much interested in a few of the dolls in our collection. At the store, however, they told my sister our collection wasn't authentic. Neither of the males in the store would even take a look at any of our collection. But were very confident in rudely telling my sister our collection wasn't authentic. They were rude from the moment my family walked in the door. They made it plainly clear they did not believe the collection could possibly be anything coming from people like them. They were willing to do business when they could only hear our voices. That changed immediately upon seeing our faces! Non-whites are not much welcomed in their establishment. I will be sure to continue spreading the word.

If your doll needs the equivalent of KU Med. Center, the Doll Cradle is the place to take him/her. Not only do they do an excellent job of repairing and cleaning dolls, they have a lovely selection of dolls, doll clothes, paper dolls, doll accessories, and other doll related items. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. It's a busy place though, so plan to spend a while there.
