I have hired this company multiple times during the past decade to complete tasks at multiple properties including a master bedroom addition and a home renovation. My satisfaction with their work product has been undermined by unprofessional activities on the part of the firm's principal that were uncovered during the latter course of the business relationship that precludes me from being able to, in good conscience, recommend their services to any friend or colleague.

If you feel you must use the competitive bid method and select your builder for your custom home or renovation using this method, there are several ways to protect yourself. The first is a detailed specification sheet listing all items down to quantities and model numbers. On items such as flooring, wall covering, cabinets, brick, lighting, etc., make these allowance items, with each phase having a said amount to work with. You set the allowance amount to protect yourself from low estimates that do not reflect a reasonable amount to work with.

Your modifications to our basic idea contributed to a result that exceeded our expectations. Once again, your crews were prompt and took excellent care of our home during the project. The workmanship on all fronts – framing, plastering, wood floor repair, trim carpentry, masonry, tile work and painting – was exceptional. The fact that the inside walls of the pantry remodel were given the same level of attention as the exterior walls is just one example of the professionalism of your crews.

It is not usual to become friends with your builder. That’s what I experienced with our renovation with Mark Worley. He took the time to get to know us. He listened and understood our desires. We added a 500 square foot kitchen, renovated the master bath & closet, roofed our back deck, added a sun tunnel, and added a retaining wall. Quality & detail was top notch. We could have gone on a vacation for the duration of the project and left it all in Mark’s good hands to be completed.

My husband and I wanted several bids for renovation on our front and back porches. The flooring and railing needed to be replaced in the front and some of the railing in the back. The tricky part was that our basement goes under the porches, and the flooring needed to be completely water proofed so as to not have leaks for years to come. Mark Worley explained the process and soon gave us a bid. We spent six more months trying to get other bids. Several people told me that they needed to do more research, but I never heard back. Explanations from others just didn’t sound right after Mark’s proposal. It became obvious that we shouldn’t have wasted time with the other contacts. I think Mark is probably one of the most knowledgeable people in the state when it comes to porch flooring. The pavers look beautiful, and the new railing is also a great improvement. Mark has a hard-working permanent crew he uses for much of his work. Those guys were invariable polite and pleasant to work with, and my husband and I appreciate that. We hope to contract with Mark again for the flooring on the back porch when it needs to be replaced.
