I've visited both Pup's Paradise locations and must say they are top notch. Being a dog owner I've used many daycares, both big and small, and Pups' service and facility is unmatched. They provide the quality and design of a large facility and the affordability and personal touch of a smaller one. The owner Ron takes the time to get to know each and every guest, both human and furry, and the staff adores each guest like their own. I've seen how happy the dogs are to walk into Pup's and that is the truest review. Don't believe me? Sit in the lobby for 5 minutes during daycare drop-offs - you'll know immediately it's the place for you and your pup!

Pups Paradise staff always greet our dog by name and our human name. They take great care of the dogs. I am impressed by their professionalism. When a canine flu struck, they voluntarily closed down unlike other for profits and vet offices. Kudos to them!

Do not go here!

All I can say is wow. This place seems nice from the outside but being in there was like a vets office! My dog hates the vet and I want her to feel as comfortable as possible when I'm away. The staff was RUDE and seemed to not even know much away dogs. Durning my tour I saw one staff member pulling another dog against his will to greet with other dogs. Also unless your dog passes their "temperament" test they can't play or leave the suite at all! During my tour the employee was just going on about the flat screen tvs and chandeliers they would be getting for the dog suites, spend money on something else that dog would actually appreciate!! Maybe playground equipment or a pool! I've seen other day cares and this one seems to be run by teenagers and unsafe for my pup. Not to mention their health waiver was worded very unprofessionally with many grammatical errors. I feel bad for any pets having to stay here:( I will be taking my baby boy to karnik

Overall

After taking my dog to a few places locally, I decided to try this daycare because it looked really clean and professional. From the get-go though, it was apparent that this was mostly an act. My first visit to Pups Paradise was in early January and some of the employees were rude and condescending. I understand that I'm not a dog expert, but I doubt that a bunch of 21 year old girls doing this part time are experts either. They cut me off when I was trying to get my dog to sit nicely. We're trying to work on getting him to be calm since he's a rescue and he can be a nut. We have him sit nicely and if he begins to jump, we pull him back and walk him away from the people he was attempting to jump on. The girl was huffing and rolling her eyes while I tried to get him to relax. Instead of giving me 10 seconds to get him calm before releasing him, the girl grabbed the leash and when he tried to jump up, she kneed him in the chest and pushed him back down. Now, I know my dog isn't a fragile baby but I felt it was entirely too rough and not in keeping with the punishment-free approach we've taken. My boy was abused and abandoned and I'd prefer calm and assertive over gruff and annoyed. By February, I was noticing some new issues with him. He was definitely tired and calm when we picked up after an eight hour day, but we'd let him out to potty and he started getting really aggressive around gates and fences. Before, he would whine and cry for the neighbor dogs and people to come over and pet him, and he started growling and barking at them instead. He also started having some leash aggression as well. We worked on getting it under control and we talked to our trainer and she said that she's dealt with a lot of dogs who have gotten worse after doggy daycare, but specifically had a lot of clients that came from Pups Paradise with out of control dogs.

Another issue I had with the place was that there wasn’t a maximum amount of dogs. I came in about once a week or so, and most of the time it seemed like there was 70 or 80 dogs in the building. That struck me as odd and I asked if they had a limit when it came to dogs and was told, “we’ve safely had over 100 dogs” which is insane. The place is big, but I don’t think 100 dogs is a good amount for 4-6 staff members.

The last straw for me was watching the pup cams and seeing my dog tied to the fence. I asked about it when I picked up and was told he was being crazy and needed a “break” from the other dogs. Why would you tie him in an area where there are 30 dogs playing around him and he can’t move? Don’t you have an area you could put him by himself to get him to calm down? He could have been attacked or choke himself or any number of things. The staff is obviously doesn’t know much about dogs and I’ve never been impressed with anything other than how it LOOKS. Well, looks can be deceiving and this place is going to make your dog sick and going to make them a less reliable companion. I won’t be back and I will make sure to tell my friends and clients to avoid it.

Tried them a couple of times for daycare and boarding. Staff is very rude and do not really care for your pets. My dogs came back home with poop all over them from last boarding. It seems like they keep all dogs in cages all the time. I will not recommend them to anyone.

I think people have to realize if you decide to start taking your dog to a doggy daycare they will get sick and other things from daycare just like children do from being around other children. So yes my dogs picked up sicknesses from here but nothing extreme to the point where I was worried. The place is okay, not crazy about it and seems like the dogs just stand around mostly, instead of actually play. The staff was not the best, there were some girls who were just plain nasty to me, so that is another reason I stopped coming here. My dogs would also get sick at daycare and they wouldn't tell me till I picked them up, I wish they would call and tell you when it is happening, since I would have liked to take my sick dog home to rest. I really would not recommend this place.

should have known better

I should have read the Google reviews or vetted the place before I took my dog there. It looked nice enough from the front, but the back wasn't impressive and the staff didn't seem very knowledgeable, and was a bit rude and condescending about my dog. I shrugged it off and I shouldn't have. My dog came home tired and the price was reasonable so I ignored the red flags. After a few months of doing daycare, I still wasn't fond of the place, but my husband said our pup was better acting in the evening after daycare. After a recent trip to the vet to see why he had diarrhea and wasn't eating, the vet told me my dog had warts. I was flabbergasted! WARTS! I asked where he could have gotten them, and if they were contagious. She asked me if he spent time around any other dogs and I told her that I take him to Pups Paradise a few times a month. She and the vet tech immediately said something along the lines of ''oh yeah, we see a lot of dogs from there with warts or other issues, it's a problem." She also told me to watch our other (senior) dog who doesn't do daycare, to make sure she doesn't develop warts as well. So far she seems to not have it, but if I hadn't paid for the surgery to have his warts removed, he would still have "active warts" which he could transfer to her, pretty easily it sounds. I'm upset I didn't trust my gut when I first walked in, and that I didn't do any research before sending my guy off to stay at some filthy daycare. I'll never set foot in that building again.

I brought my dog in this morni...

I brought my dog in this morning for a self serve bath and a nail trim. I was not impressed by the staff at all! I called yesterday with questions and the man on the phone seemed put off. The girl that took care of me and my dog seemed very indifferent and distracted. After bringing my dog back out to me following a nail trim, I was told that I 'needed to keep up more frequently with the dew claws.' I am perfectly aware of my dog's fast growing dew claws and *do* trim them frequently (usually weekly!), but this girl got a little snooty when I told her I was aware of the problem. The wash stations were nice and I will most likely go back to give my dog a bath, but I wouldn't recommend this place for anything else.

Sincere care for your pet

Used them today for the first time. When I picked up our dog it was obvious they had genuine concern for our pet's well-being. We've found the best place for our dog when we can't watch him ourselves.
