Northern Michigan Gastroenterology

I have many serious health issues in the past and have been treated in several states. I have never seen a more unprofessional, uneducated, unorganized and unfriendly staff at ANY healthcare facility I have been treated in. I did not get a chance to meet the Dr(which I was told I would have the opportunity to at my initial visit - I guess it was just a way to get you into the door and charge the insurance), but there was no way that I would trust my health to a Dr that would be okay with having their office run in the manner I encountered. I felt I was dealing with a "back alley" kind of operation and I lost any confidence and trust after just one visit. The staff was arguing about who was to do what, the staff was not even aware of why my Dr referred me into the office and argued with me about the procedures I was getting done. I was put into a room and forced to watch a video about one of the procedures I was getting done, even though I told them I had the procedures done several times and was aware of everything it entailed. After the rude staff argued with me about why I was there, she turned on the video and told me she would check on the referral to see what was to be done....I never saw her again. The only person that was anxious to see me was the billing person who was more worried about the bill than the questions I had. I would save yourself the grief of attending this poor excuse for a Dr's office and go elsewhere, even if it means leaving town to find a true professionally run establishment. A truly scary experience and so glad I did get an initial visit before I trusted my health to a Dr that would allow the staff to act in such an unprofessional manner.
