Peninsula Community Library (PCL) is a public township library located on the beautiful Old Mission Peninsula in Northern Michigan. The library is open to the public as a dual-use library within Old Mission Peninsula School. We are open year-round. The Peninsula Community Library's mission is to serve all segments of a diverse rural community by providing access to information and support for personal enrichment in a friendly, welcoming environment. PCL offers a collection of over 28,000 items including books, periodicals, audio books, DVDs, music, games and puppets. Services include copier, fax, public internet work stations and wireless access. Our catalog and reference databases may be accessed through the Traverse Area District Library's website. eBooks are also available through this link for those who live in the District Library's service area and hold valid library accounts. The Peninsula Community Library is an independent member library of the Traverse Area District Library (TADL). Peninsula Community Library's Local History Collection includes materials of historic value to the area and its people. Items include early Peninsula Township Records, surveyors' maps, photographs, oral histories, postcards, vertical files and more. The collection is available to the public for use within the library and under rules set to preserve the fragile nature of the materials.
