Salguero Masonry

I called two contractors before I called Mr. Salguero. The first contractor told me that he could setup three ladders with 3 men to patch up the 9-foot tall leaning chimney. He then said that the chimney would still be leaning. When I asked him about rebuilding it, he said that he would get back to me with another proposal. Through the yellow pages I was able to access www.asmasonry.com (using the link "visit website" that is located at the bottom of the page. the one on top does not work). I asked Mr. Salguero if I could see him at work and he allowed me to watch him work on someone else’s chimney. I watched him work for 15 minutes and could not see any defects with his work. The stable scaffolding setup plus the size of the chimney he was working on convinced me that I had nothing to worry about. He showed up on Friday to setup the scaffolding and returned early Saturday to take down the old chimney and rebuild the new one. I was so pleased with the tall chimney that he built, that I asked him to rebuild the short one as well. He told me that I could get another ten years out of the short one "as is" but I insisted that I wanted to have two good looking chimneys. The rebuilt chimneys are making the house look better than ever.

By the time another contractor call me to let me know that the chimney was too tall for him, Mr. Salguero was halfway done. Him and his crew setup scaffolds for a safe working environment. It took six levels of scaffolding to build a platform as high as the top of the roof. This was not a ladder job. These guys work hard for their money. Just make sure that you place tarps to cover anything on the ground that you would not like to have wet cement pebbles make contact with. I am 100% sure that they can fix your chimney to your satisfaction. If someone else says that it is too difficult, call Salguero.
