Expert Nails

I don't understand why this place has bad reviews but then again the other reviews are a few years old. The salon is clean and the employees are nice and friendly. They're also gentle. This is the first time I've been to a salon and haven't been accidentally cut!

I don't recommend this place to anyone. They need to close it down or change the name because "Expert Nails" is not only a far stretch, but false advertisement. After looking at the nail art on display when we first walked in (which looked like a child had done it), I thought "It can't be that bad, other people are in here." It is dirty, they use the same towels between pedicures, and when I told the lady I wanted a clean towel she got an attitude, rolled her eyes, and began to talk about me to her coworker in their native tongue. It was obvious. They also do not give you what you ask for, and are horrible with nail art. I had them polish both of my daughter's nails, and the lady left polish all over their toes and fingers. She did not even file their nails. The man that did my nails left glue all over my fingers. The lady made a mistake on my daughter's toe and didn't even fix it, she just tried to polish over it, and the "nail art" (I use that term VERY loosely) was not even the same on both toes. Although the man was nice, they simply do not do a good job there. My nails were not even completely polished, and then he told me I could not have the same polish on my toes! I will most certainly be going to a different salon to have my fill done. I will NEVER go here again!

Because the salon is close to home, I thought I'd give it a try to get a gel fill for my nails. BAD DECISION! The woman who did my nails was the worst nail tech ever. She was extremely rude. I tried a number of times to engage her in conversation and she had no interest in talking with me. She chattered with her co-worker continuously in her native tongue (Thai?) but not a simple smile for me until it was time for me to pay. I asked her to shorten my nails and she said no. She applied the nail polish as though it was paste and it ended up looking uneven and unprofessional. It took me over an hour to remove the polish from my nails. I sanded down the rest as best I could until next week when I return to my usual salon. Whatever you do, don't go to this place. It's like throwing your money down the toilet. If you like being treated like crap, by all means go. They should have paid me, not the other way around.

This is the dirtiest salon I've ever seen. There are dead bugs on the floor, flies flying around. They don't sterilize their instruments between customers; they are just dropped back into the box. The owners/workers, I believe it is a family of 3 - husband, wife, son - constantly chatter in some foreign language among themselves while they are working. If a customer should say something (like OUCH! You're cutting it too short!") they will say "oh, OK, sorry" and then go back to their chattering, but the tone changes and you can just tell they are talking about you. They have 2 phones. While I was there, one of them rang and was answered. The other was a cell, plugged into the wall. It must have rang 25 times while I was there ( abt 40 min) and was never answered. The ringtone was some really heavy rap music. And loud. Made me think this salon was just a front for some other possibly shady business.

I wouldn't go back there if you paid me.
