Welcome to Mother Earth Midwifery! I am Helen Stockton, Certified Professional Midwife and I am so excited to work with you to create the birth experience that is just right for you. My philosophy has always been mother knows best, and that is how I run my practice. I take cues from you. I invite you to use my knowledge and 10 years of experience working in birth both in and out of the hospital to help you craft the birthing experience you want, not what I or anyone else thinks it should be. Through regular meetings and open dialog we will get to know each other well and work together to ensure that you have the best, safest, extraordinary birth experience for you, your family and its newest addition.

My office is my home, so I will come to you for all of your prenatal, laboring and postpartum care needs. I specialize in homebirth and waterbirth but I will also go with you to the hospital and act as your own personal advocate if you choose to be in the hospital or if you need to be in the hospital due to your particular health picture. I service a 60 mile radius of the Ann Arbor area, but with an additional charge for gas I will go farther. I have a sliding scale fee cha
