Lagniappe Zachary

Today I ordered online, but a few months ago I visited the Baker location. My food was delicious and fresh, the service was excellent and the staff was very professional and friendly.

First visit instead of passing by. The dining room lights are LED spot lights, bring your shades. We basically received 2 frozen food service entrees microwaved hot. My highly processed country fried steak shrank inside the breading, soggy underneath and essentially hollow. My wife's Chimichanga came served without sauce looking all of factory made identical shape and folds, again soggy on the plate side. The manager seemed busy putting out fires. Parking lot busy so somebody thinks it is ok... we go back to driving by to other choices we find more to our liking. server pleasant but did not listen to questions, she said she always got sauce on her chimmies, but told us that it was presented as they normally serve it.

Food prepared ok, but little options for diet restrictions. Locals like it, but somehow not to my taste.

I and my family went to lagniappes restaurant in Zachary a weeks and a half ago and we were highly impressed. My grandson had passed away and we laid him to rest that day. We are from baker and to out dismay the baker location has been closed, though we hear rumor it is soon to reopen. The food excellent, the service was great, in fact i think it was the staff that made the experience as good as they did. They were very respective and seemed very eager to provide my family and I with excellent service. One person in particular, our waiter was a very polite young gentlemen. My wife spoke very highly of him and we tipped him well. I believe his name was Bradley or Braden or Bruce maybe Brandon but I can't be sure. However we will definitely be dining there again.

My wife and I, and two friends went there last night,(Sat. 11/28), and had another wonderful dining experience. We have eaten there twice before, and both times the food was extremely good. The quality of the food, this time, was just as good as the other times we went. Also the atmosphere is very inviting, with just a touch of elegance, but not really formal. The service is excellent, with the staff being very aware of your needs. I would give this resturant at least 4 1/2 to 5 stars.

I would like to add, that our waiter, Brandon, was most attentive. This young man epitomizes what being a server is supposed to be. so I will give him 5 stars as well. For anyone living in the area, I would recomend giving Lagniappe a try. I tink our friends agree with us.

Lagniappe is a Cajun word meaning "something extra", and you get it there.
